Where to work in Tbilisi
Vake, Saburtalo, Vera, Sololaki, Chugureti and the rest: what each neighbourhood is like to work in, with live counts, prices and walks to the metro.
Updated 01.10.2026
Tbilisi is compact: most of the places people work from sit within a few kilometres of Freedom Square, and the two metro lines connect the busiest areas. Still, each neighbourhood works differently, from the office towers of Saburtalo to the courtyards of Sololaki. Below, each area with its live numbers from our directory: how many coworking spaces and laptop-friendly cafés it has, what a day pass typically costs, and the nearest metro stations with the median walk.
The places named in each section are picked by rule: the best Work Score first, then places we've verified, then the ones nearest the centre.
Saburtalo
Tbilisi's busiest work district: universities, office towers and apartment blocks along Vazha-Pshavela and Pekini avenues, with the second metro line running through it. It has more coworking spaces than any other part of the city, including branches of the main networks, and it's practical rather than pretty: you come here to get work done, close to home if you live in the area.

Vera
Between Rustaveli Avenue and Vake: old townhouses, embassies, Vera Park and the Stamba complex in a former Soviet publishing house. It has the densest mix of work cafés and small coworking spaces in the city, plenty of places to eat, and Rustaveli metro within a short walk of most of it.

Vake
Leafy and expensive, around Ilia Chavchavadze Avenue and Vake Park. It's quieter, with good cafés and restaurants and some of the newer office buildings, but there's no metro station: from most spaces the nearest stations are a long walk, so people come by taxi or bus.

Chugureti and Marjanishvili
Across the river from Vera, around Marjanishvili Square and the restored Aghmashenebeli Avenue. Fabrika, a Soviet sewing factory turned hostel with a courtyard of bars and studios, anchors its creative side. Two metro stations, Marjanishvili and Station Square, make it one of the easiest areas to reach.
